Actors Theatre: Dracula

Subject matter doesn't get more visceral and deviously fun than Transylvania's most famous resident.  Actors Theatre's staging of "Dracula" is an institution in Louisville and the opportunity to do it justice with the promotional video was a joy.  There was one catch - the actor portraying the eponymous character in the below video wasn't going to be the actor portraying the same character on stage.  So, part of my job was to find creative and interesting ways to obscure the talent's face while not detracting from the menacing tension building throughout the spot.  The end result manages to keep the viewer hooked and waiting for the payoff, right up to the surprise end.  Airing on broadcast television and heavily featured through Actors' social channels, the spot won praise from the client - and a Silver ADDY award.
